D.A.D. (Downtown After Dark) Brown Ale is an assertive medium-bodied brown ale brewed with five different types of malts to give it a beautiful mahogany color. Three varieties of caramel malts combined with roasted barley produce bold flavors of mocha and molasses up front with subtle hints of hazelnuts in the finish. We perfectly balance the levels of hops against the malts, giving this ale layers of delicious flavors that can best be tasted when it is served at slightly warmer temperatures.

"an assertive brown" is an accurate description. there's more flavor here than expected. pleasant aromas to boot, this is a very well done brown ale...

Dark brown color, medium head. Roasted malts, medium hopped. Nice nut-brown flavor. Rich smooth malt taste. Full flavor. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is malty and slightly nutty, not a lot of bitterness.

Downtown Afterwork Ale. Nice light brown color. Sweet, malty, light (what isn't from Karl?).

This beer pours into the glass with a deep amber brown body topped by a medium thick off white head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a slight hoppiness. The flavor is very similar to the aroma with added grassy hop notes. Both the flavor and aroma are not very strong or complex. This brew is light to medium bodied and smooth.
