A traditional lager with just the right amount of bitterness. The name comes from the eponymous master brewer who founded a number of brasseries in the east of France, back in the 30's. The brasseries produced their own beer and offered a menu based on traditional Alsatian dishes.

I had this beer in a café Le Kléber in Paris and iwas not disappointed... By the way you can find this beer advertised and served in almost every café in Paris,a Kronenbourg monopoly so to speak...Golden pale this beer is sweet on the palate, refreshing and well balance;i can't complain on the terrace on a nice evening in Paris overlooking la tour eiffel....

I can understand why some people have this beer ranked lowly. Its french and not a great beer. But when in france, imported beer is expensive and this is the best deal you can get. Its a nice beer and has a smooth taste and nice flavor. Appearance is nice and aroma is decent. A good french beer.

Draught at a bar, somewhere in Paris, France. Golden colour with a slim white head. Not a bad lager; light hop aroma, malty taste. Clean, crisp and drinkable.

An average standard French pale lager, in the Alsacian German-influenced brewing tradition. Seems to have a more local Alsacian following than Kronenbourg and Kronenbourg 1664, which you get all over France. In later years Kanterbräu seems to have become more of a discount beer than the other two. Nothing special. Kronenbourg 1664 is slightly better.
