Showcasing four American West Coast hops and four English and Canadian malts, Engineer’s is an IPA that’s bold, complex and finely balanced. Citrus and tropical fruit aromas are accented by pine-scented hops, and dry hopping promotes hop aromas without adding bitterness. Engineer’s is an ale that’s been built to stand the test of time, whether exploring by rail or on the open sea.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a hazy golden colour with an amber hue. The warm-coloured head is huge with the crazy carbonation in this one. Long lasting and dirty lace is left. It also becomes quite creamy. Fruity malt base with some citrus notes, but the hops are stronger and not very pleasant. Almost macro-like. The taste is better though, having the citrus zesty hops well-balanced with the fruity malts and mild caramel. A decent IPA.

The beer pours a golden orange colour with absolutely no head. If I hadn't known better, I would have thought this was orange soda. The aroma is weak grains, and weak citrus. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, but almost no carbonation. The flavour had a nice grapefruit punch with some caramel and grains, but the beer was disappointing over all.
