Purchased in a 6-pack of 355ml cans with a big "JR 6.0" written on them. Pours a medium golden colour with a white head, low retention but decent lace. Malty, mildly sweet nose with a bit of alcohol, corn and chemical notes. Tastes pretty much the same with hints of apples in the finish. Written "For best results: pull tab". I sure hope so... or do they not want us to do shotguns with these cans ?? Not sure why they came out with a version with only 0.5% more than their original.

Lord knows I ain't no beer snob and can down swill with the best of them, but my god this stuff was terrible. For one thing it smells like medicine and made my right nostril burn. It's like drinking bad synthetic bananas mixed with gasoline. Body and appearance 'bout the only redeeming thing about this tripe. Take my advice, stick with the regular JR(5.5)

Pale clear straw color.....massive head reduces quickly and leaves little lace. Aroma is faint but mostly dextrin sweetness and fusel alcohol. Light bodied, fluid mouth feel, mild flavor of sweet dextrin adjuncts and LME, no hop presence to speak of.....fast finish with a harsh dextrin-alcohol after taste. Typical corporate adjunct brew, not to my taste but I'm sure there are plenty of students who are willing to risk the raging headache dextrin brews produce when over imbibed.
