An Ithaca-style interpretation of the classic Belgian Wit bier, this unfiltered ale has a unique spicy flavor and dry finish, making it light and refreshing. Pilsen malt and four varieties of wheat create the yellow color, white foamy head, and signature cloudiness of a wit beer. 5.3% abv.

On tap at the Bocktown, nice place! Slightly hazy pale yellow. Tea froth head. Smells like mild wheat . Hits of grass an hay on the tongue, also a bit tart. Friendly and easy to get along with. Many of the attributes of a good lager. Some bitterness barely detectable. Well behaved finish with some mild hints of vanilla. Nice session brew. Very enjoyable.

Witbiers are not often among my favorites so I was a little doubtful about giving this a whirl but I really liked the flavor. It did not taste harsh or leave a bad aftertaste as some witbiers can do.....very enjoyable. There wasn't much of an aroma at all, though. This may be a good one to try for those, like me, not overly fond of witbiers. Good job, Ithaca!
