You won’t be a bystander for long once you’re intoxicated by the aroma of grapefruit and strawberry. Brewed with Australian Galaxy hops and German malts for a big hop flavour of citrus and passion fruit with a sweet malt undertone. Did not like their Waterloo 1815 last night, so hope this one will be better. Pours a slightly hazed, light golden-amber colour with a nice warm cap that stays a while, leaving some foamy lacing. Nice aromas of grapefruits and other citrus, with some grass notes. Some caramel malts. A little creaminess in the mouthfeel, with some tart. The taste is not as hoppy, not as fruity as the nose gives it to be, but some decent bitterness shows up in the aftertaste. Hints of caramel are present as well. This is a much better brew. A good American Pale ale at 4.7% with 50 IBU.
