Innis & Gunn IPA is 100% unfiltered. This means that we’ve kept the beer true to its natural form, locking in the flavour from the hops and malt. Mandarina hops have been used to impart zesty hop aromas of citrus and lychee. Hop bitterness is balanced by a smooth sweetness from the extra pale and munich malts. Zesty, refreshing and crisp.

Big fan of most Innis & Gunn beers, but to be honest, this one was a grave disappointment. Been trying some really fine IPAs recently and unfortunately this one has failed to measure up. Tastes like an IPA and has a nice spicy quality, but the overpowering grapefruit taste leaves me with little else to write about. While some IPAs have a smooth, sometimes sweet aftertaste, this one leaves you with the bitterness until you can find something else to wash it down with.

Picked up a 6 pack at LCBO. Pours a fairly large frothy off-white head that sticks around at full. Has a pale slightly cloudy light amber appearance. Big thick dirty lacing. Aromas of grassy and herbal hops. Flavours are almost the same as aromas but much more of the herbal hops appearing more dominant. Also grassy and hints of pine. Very faint hints of caramel in the finish. Slick and dry moutheel. Not bad and better than expected.

6-pack from the LCBO. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a warm foamy-creamy head, good retention and soapy lacing. The nose is a nice blend of citrus and tropical fruits from the fresh hops and caramel hops. Hints of vanilla to add their touch, but not too much like their other oak barrel brews. Nice bitterness in the finish that gets stronger in the aftertaste. The flavours are more on the citrus side than malty. I am surprised that they made and American style IPA, which is quite different for this brewery.
