Humboldt Oatmeal Stout

Dark black color. Medium tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and malts. A medium bodied stout. Dark roasted malts. Chocolate and coffee flavors predominate. Kind of sweet. Nicely balanced. Very drinkable stout. Nice and smooth and kind of chewy. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, with a lingering chocolate sweetness.

darkness hides the red..tan clothes the dark..creamy coffee cocoa fumes engulf everything..strong coffee roasted barley loviness splurges from the dark depths..subtle yet firm hoppy bitterness has the back..very drinkable, smooth, and lovely stout with an oaty aftertaste

Not my favortie but a stand up stout.

This is one of the better beers they had on tap at the Humboldt Brewery. I still think Anderson Valley's Oatmeal Stout is the best on the market.

Great oatmeal stout smell but where's the head? Perhaps I drank mine too cold. Nice solid black coloring. I happened to have a Samuel Smith last night and indeed that prevailed over this one. However I still enjoyed this simpler flavored beer.

It's a good and cheap alternitive to Samual Smith's oatmeal stout. It's not quite as good, but then again not to many beer are.

I thought this beer was an excellent choice but it is not quite as smooth as Samuel Smiths but it costs much less.
