Shaner D and I doing the live circuit at Beer fest, not wired but fully amped, alternating spro and stout: "It's about the surge" he said, "Let's make a beer with shocking polarity." "Black on black" I agreed. Tommy D, always the conductor, kept us grounded with his three-pronged wisdom: 'Like love, boys, it starts with a spark. From Central City, in a bomber. Creamy, light brown head over a pour of very dark brown. Aroma had lots of dark chocolate and coffee, probably malt as well. Flavour was much the same, and very enjoyable. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Sweet notes at the finish.
