Description A refreshing, lightly hopped golden ale brewed with all-natural Lillooet honey and made with barley, honey, hops, water and yeast. It is brewed in recognition of the Sea to Sky regions highest peak, Mount Garibaldi (8,776 ft, 2,675 m) which was named for Italian hero Guiseppe Garibaldi, the man of two worlds. Awards 2007 Gold Medal in the North American Beer Awards. 2010 Bronze Medal in the North American Beer Awards. 2011 Bronze Medal at the Canadian Brewers Awards. Food Pairing This is a thirst-quenching beer, with a milder hop and malt profile. It goes well with very hot food, like blackened fish, chili, hot wings and tacos. This is a great ale for the summer barbecue. Our Bottle This re-closable bottle, known as a "pot-stopper", was widely used in Europe and North America prior to the 1950s. Our new combination cap is an innovative design that allows closure by both crown and swing caps. It can be re-used and meets our green packaging objectives.

Pours a piss yellow with a medium sized fluffy white head. Aroma is almost non-existent. Taste is bland with a hint of rubbing alcohol. Overall a average to below average brew. Not worth the money.

At the beginning the honey was nice, complemented a pale malty base, slight, just slight balancing hop. It was ok. By the end I was sick of the honey sweetness. Not a favorite beer style except in small amounts, and 1L is not a small amount.

Glory be to one litre swing-top bottles. If only they'd be a better fit in my little beer fridge... This one poured a smallish white head, maybe one finger's worth but no more, and really no lacing to speak of. Colour is a medium gold. The aroma does indeed feature honey above all else, and was most pleasant. The taste was again of honey, but just enough to let you know that it was there and no more. Mouthfeel and aftertaste were "proper". Yeah, I'd like more of this one.
