This poured a dark brown color with a beige head. The flavor Is a bit sweet and also sour with some dark fruit, caramel, and a bit of booze. The aftertaste is malty with the caramel and raisins but also a bit sour with the grapes. Overall a nice beer.

1 1/2 finger tan head, not much lacing. Dark brown body with some red highlights when held up to the light. Aromas of belgian yeast, raisins, molasses and faint hops. The taste is quite complex, lots of dark fruit, raisins, dark cherries, plums, a bit of candi sugar, hops are not very noticeable. Mouthfeel is full with a medium dry finish, not sticky sweet. Overall its not great but very solid, and easy to drink

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Pours out in a burgundy brown colour with acreamy off-white foam. Well-composed and balanced aroma of nuts, yeast, licorice, dark cherries and almonds. Medium-bodied with notes of dark bread, licorice, yeast and prunes. Smooth mouthfeel. Long malty finish of blue plums, dark cherries, candid sugar, hay and yeast.

This tastey beer has a coffee like resemblance. Dark brown with a full khaki coloured head. a nice sweet aroma of honey, caramel and almonds. flavors of caramel and toast. a finish that reminds me of a cappuccino.

The 2nd beer from these guys and along with the first, I think it was past it's prime. An aroma of sea salt really trumped anything else in the aroma department. Flavor was really metallic, light fruits with a clean finish. Think I'll look for a fresher version and then re-rate.

Pours a mury brown with a one inch off-white head that fades slowly to a thick cap, and leaves behind a nice webbing of lace. Smell; bread dough and caramel malts, with hints of plums and earthy yeasts. Taste; a bit sweet with lots of caramel and bread dough flavors going on here. As this warms the Belgian spices and fruits make an appearance, along with a bit of a hoppy bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and just a little on the dry side.

330 ml bottle, bought in Frederikshavn, Denmark, as "Kapittel Watou Pater" (no "Het" on the label anymore). ABV is 6.0%. Clear and beautiful reddish brown colour, large and lasting light tan head. Nice malty aroma with notes of caramel and bakery, hints of wood, Christmas spices and dark fruits. Flavour is malty sweet but also fruity and zesty, quite nice. Some spices in the background. Definitely not a bad beer, but a tad too sweet to make me ecstatic.

Well, I got this brew in a sampler 4-pack and I am looking forward to trying this brew as well as the rest. The aroma is nice and organic and offers some fresh baked bread, plums, maybe banana, and some unknown spices in the nose as well as fruity overtones and is very nice. The appearance is a nice and hazy brown-amber with a very large head on top that is creamy and frothy and remains on top throughout consumption and only dinimishes slightly and is an off-white in color and bubbly. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and not too bad and has some nice, malty complexity but could use more of a hoppy presence to create equilibrium in the balance and the palate is wet and thick and coats well. The flavor is of dark fruit like prunes, plums and some raisins with a nice malty profile with an aftertaste that is smooth and creamy with a finish that is organic and malty and very nice. Overall, not a bad brew here and the whole 4-pack was very cheap and I look forward to the other brews I have from this brewer; very solid Belgian brew here for sure and very easy to drink as well as is malty and quite tasty.
