500 ml bottle, bought at Pivni Galerie, Prague. Label info: Herold Bohemian Golden Lager, Svetlý Lezák, 12 degrees plato, Pilsenerbier, ABV 5.1%. Golden colour, large head that doesn’t last long, little lacing. Lovely hoppy aroma, flowers (incl. heather flowers), honey and a hint of oak. Flavour is hoppy bitterness from start to finish, long bitter aftertaste. Moderate carbonation. A good pilsener, but not quite as good as Svijansky Rytír Bitter.

Bottled@SBWF2007. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is hops, grass, slight diacetyl and some mild malts. Flavour is the same, but the maltyness and grassyness are really big. Refreshing, but hard to get down...

Bottle. Dark golden colour with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma is malty and hoppy. Flavour is dominated by the malts but the hops are noticable. Nice smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Good pilsener.

True to its style the color is a bright gold, the head ample and white, the lace a delicate film on the glass. The nose herbal, flowery a really smooth tasting beer with just a mild hop bite. The body medium to light, the mouth feel is full and smooth. It starts with a malt sweetness, blends in the middle and a truly delicious hop taste filters through at the finish. A 4.0 on the ABW scale and a mild 27 on the IBU makes this a beer all will love.
