Herman Joseph's Private Reserve is a full-bodied German style lager, handcrafted in small quantities, combining European and North American hops with the finest Moravian two-row barley. The masterpiece in your hand was created by our team of craftsmen with years of dedication to the art of brewing a fine lager beer. They chill-lager HJ twice as long as ordinary lagers, removing all of the rough edges to produce a perfectly balanced, deep golden lager with an exceptionally crisp, clean finish. Finally, each brew is then specially numbered and packaged.

It pours a bright amber without any head and some residual lacing. A light aroma of caramel malts, orange and citrus, bitterness, and light spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of rich barley malts, hops, orange and citrus, bitterness and spiciness. Very smooth and good-tasting, although over-priced.
