We’ve brought back this thirst-quencher as our summer seasonal! Originally released as Ides # 39 from July 2019, our Salted Lime Gose is a crushable 4.4% and is the perfect accompaniment to warm, sunny weather. The lime gives this light, fruity ale a tingling acidity, complimented by a sprinkle of saltiness that makes it hard to put down. In short, it’s a taste of summer!

The beer pours hazed golden colour with a short lived white head that leaves no lacing, but is highly effervescent. The aroma is grains, light tart fruit, and weak yeast. There is a Sprite note to the aroma. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is light cereal grains, light tart fruit, and the saltiness is definitely present. Finish is quite mild. As the beer warms up, the salt gets overpowering. -

Hazy golden, bright yellow colour with a fizzy white cap, average stay leaving only a few bubbles around for a little while. A nice salty lime scent. The taste shows a little more of the lime mild sourness. Some tart stays on the tongue. Refreshing and crisp mouthfeel. Not a bad lime Gose.

Tall can from LCBO. Pours a fairly small foamy white head and doesn't stay very long but leaves some thin bubbly lace. Has a clean, clear golden appearance. Lively carbonation. Aromas of grass, lime, wheat, some mild citrus notes. Flavours are mostly wheaty, citrus and lime with hints of coriander, grass and herbal notes and a little bit salty. Not a lot of sourness on the palate, quite mild with a bit of bitterness in the finish. Drying mouthfeel. Not bad.
