HELLEKAPELLE from Brouwerij de Bie is an unusual pale ale with a straw color, hoppy aroma, light to medium body and clean malty flavor. It's bitterness that starts in the middle of the palate and dominates through to the finish comes from Poperinge hops, wonderful thirst quencher

330 ml bottle. Poured in the original Hellekapelle tulpe an unfiltered hazy golden-yellow colored ale with a good 2 fingers white creamy foamy head that had a very long retention. Many sediments. Active carbonation. Godd lacing. The aroma is grainy malts, grass and sour fruits, apples. The flavour is sweety malts, apples and citrussy hops. The mouthfeel is slight fizzy and quite thin. This light bodied ale has a dry fruity finish. A nice brew for the summertime.

Bottle: Poured a hazy beige color ale with a foamy head with a good size foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma of dry malt with a funny yeast smell. Taste is a weird mix between some dry malt, bad funky yeast and some dry hops. Full body with some good carbonation. Definitely not the best beer from this usually fine brewery.

A nice rich citrusy flavor to start --mellow and not too sweet-- An orangey color/soft head.... aroma has some sweetness, nutty wheat, orange peel. Mouthfeel has nice flow. A Light breadiness is good, along with honey sweetness in the aftertaste. Subtle juniper notes. Quenching, slightly crisp. Fruity character, enjoyable

Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is honey and spices with lots of earthy notes. Flavour is wheat, yeast, fruits, alcohol, hops and slight caramel. Tripel meets witbier or something like that. Quite nice!

Clear golden with a pillowy white foam. Strong aroma of banana and sourish lemon. Yeasty flavour of banana and lemon with sweet undertones of maruenge. Yweet aftertaste of maurenge, bread-chrusts and oranges. Interesting belgian blonde.

cloudy orange colour with a little foam, aroma of peanuts with a touch of cider, sweet and medium-bodied with a dry, sour finish - not bad but somehow unbalanced

Bottle. Almost clear, golden colour with a large white head. Aroma is fruity, coriander, wheat and fresh yeast. Lightly sweet, some acidity, some honey; dry with some late bitterness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Good stuff.
