The color is about average for a lager - golden-yellow and clear. Aroma is malty and not strong or complex. Flavor is crisp and refreshing, malty with just a touch of hop edge, nothing special but not awful either. It goes down smoothly and easily. An OK beer, acceptable if nothing better is available.

Pours a very pale, clear gold with a fizzy white head that disappears in a matter of seconds. There really isn't much in the way of lacing. The aroma is mild grains, lemon, minerals, and straw are present. The taste has a fleeting suggestion of mineral water, lemon, straw, grass, grain husks, and cooked vegetables wash across the palate. The mouth feel is very light in body and very dry. Carbonation is extremely spritzy.

Aroma of sweet malt, with no head, decent carbonation and an uneven, yellowish color. Full-bodied, with a sweet malt flavor and no aftertaste. An average beer that I would drink again.

Had this at a party in Baltimore. Haven't had a heiney in awhile...was OK with it since it was free, but, what happened to the skunky aroma/flavor? I guess the light version lost the skunkiness, not that I am a fan of skunky beer...but sometimes I get the hankerin' for a skunky heiney. Overall, i wan't impressed.

the age old question...is lite skunk better than regular skunk? both this and regular Heini suck...this one may be a touch more palatable flavorwise but the mf is water.

Pours light yellow with minimal head. Light aroma with little faint notes of grass. Finish was ok but the aftertaste had mild citrus note. Wouldn't mind trying it again but certainly wouldn't go out of my way for another.

I was surprised that I liked this beer but for a light beer it has a flavor to it but it is very light. It is a good beer on a hot afternoon while bbqing. It does have the signature snunky taste but the aftertaste fades quicker than the regular beer.

Like the original grass and skunk dominate the aroma and flavors, but i like this a little better than the original. The watering down takes the edge of the aroma and flavors, it isnt so bad, decent enough for a light.

A semi-watered down version of the regular Heineken lager. A bit more pale, not as shiney in color. Less malts, perhaps a bit less hops, so overall flavor is decreased. Better than the average light beer, but I'd rather go with a 4-5% pilsner, or lighter wheat beer instead.
