Somewhat sweet malty aroma has a decided overtone of pomegranate - and I do like pomegranate! Pours a clear, slightly ruddy copper with a fairly thick and fluffy light beige head. Malty, woody aroma has a firm pomegranate note and hints of caramel and horehound. Smooth texture has about average body and fizziness, and leaves a fruity, slightly hop-bitter finish.

I had this this back around 2007 when it came out, but forgot to review. Reminded me of a sour, and at the time was not too used to the style. Very sweet and tart from what I remember. It set the stage though for all of their stronger beers released over the years. Maybe I'll try another one day if I see it around.

This poured a dark amber color with a white head. The aroma contain dark fruit likely the poms used to make it. The flavor is sour more than sweet with dark fruits, caramel, and cherries maybe? Some herbal notes showing up in the finish which also showcases some booze. Overall this beer was alright.

Pours a cloudy orange with a 2 finger head that disappears quickly. Aroma is hoppy, with strong hints of fruit juice. Lot of carbonation. Taste is quite sweet, like a sucker. Noticeable bitterness with the pomegranate juice. Taste lingers around for a bit. I actually enjoyed this odd beer. If anything this is a pretty good looking beer. Not half bad.

This beer pours clear red-amber color, lots of bubbly carbonation. Good head retention with thin, sticky lace. Smell has fruity sweetness and some malty aroma. Malt taste to throughout, fruit sweetness follows, and some alcohol. Not alot of pomegranite fruit sweetness. Medium to full body and mouthfeel. Interesting flavor, as it warms up the alcohol takes over.Happy to try it, but once is probably enough

Pomegranate is such a mild tasting fruit that I'm surprised brewers use it in beers. But if they want a mild tasting beer, use a mild tasting fruit!! So this beer is just okay, with nothing inherently awful, but since it lacks character it's kinda perceived that way. Alcohol, light toffee, fresh bread and just a smidge of fruit. Sweet toffe-like malts, soft hop character with just a shadow of fruit flavor. It could have been cumquats, starfruit on lychee in there...hell, the fruit was so insignifigant there could have been nothing in there for all it know. Kinda lame. -

wouldn't have been able to pick out pomegranate specifically, but there was a deifinite sweetness to the aroma, and especially the flavor, with some bitterness not from hops as well. pretty good stuff, hard to compare.

Had this on tap at the Alchemy tonight. Nice beer, but wasn't tasting the pomegranate by any means. Pours a golden orange colour, hazey with lots of froth. Aroma is fruity, tropical and floral. Taste is sweet, little malts, plenty of bubblegum and pineapple notes. Tart citrus notes round off the taste.

This thing, pomegranate, caught my eye while browsing. The pour was a nice reddish brown with a small head. The beer is well carbonated and the aroma was pomagrante and hops. This beer was too hoppy for me. I am not certain of the IBU, but it just was not to my liking. I am not a hop head.
