Extremely dark ruby red with a long lasting cap that towers over my glass. Aroma is toasty vanilla yum with very odd smelling hop that I can’t place. Hit subtle hints of soya sauce in here. Highly drinkable intense flavor. Sweet mild soya sauce, French vanilla coffee, walnuts, and toast. Flavor is so strong but never gets sharp. Bla blab la I could keep listing flavors forever here but for some strange reason I find this beer boring, it’s just not that fun to drink. There is really nothing here I want to drink again but it taste good! Just hit some sweet salty plum or possibly raisin. Maybe I’m just not in the mode for the bee tonight……………..Marks are probably low

there sure is a lot going on in there. almost too much, but somehow they pull it off. definitely a sippin' beer. malty and hoppy at the same time, with a little funkiness and dark fruit flavors. extreme.

22oz bottle shared by bfeldmann. Orangey brown, probably more brown, nice little initial head. Aroma was dried fruits, piney resinous hops, roasted malts. Flavor followed suit, interesting play of roasted darker malts, chocolate, some dark fruits with a full hop profile. Mouthfeel was full yet with a light dryness, no sticky aspects. Nice sipper of a bwine!

Pours a deep brown color, almost to the point of it appearing black with amber accents. Lots of chocolate and molasses in the aroma with just enough alcohol so you know it's there. The flavors pretty much follow suit with a bunch of chocolate and molasses up front with sweet plums and figs following and a light dry hopped finish. Very easy drinking for a 10%+ beer. This is good. My only complaint is that it's a touch too sweet, which takes a little bit away from the overall enjoyment of the beer.

This beer poured a dark brown to black color. The aroma consists of chocolate, coffee, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor had a slight citrus presence I did not pick up in the aroma. I could also taste some coffee, chocolate, dark fruit like raisins. Overall is was an excellent beer.

I've got to be honest, Bluez drank the first half of this bomber about a month ago, with the rest in the fridge since then with a wine stopper, so the head and carbonation were lacking. It still poured a beautiful dark dark brown with nary a bit of light shining thru when held to light. The aroma is of espresso, nuts and maybe (?) cherry? No noticable alcohol aroma which could be attributable to the aging. The flavors melded well, with coffee and chocolate noted, some mild fruit aftertastes. This is a well heeled 11% brew. Certainly a sipper I'd enjoy again with a mild cigar next to the pool.

22 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small creamy tan head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet and roasted chocolate malts, rye, dark fruits, some hops and alcohol.
The flavor is roasted chocolate malts and some dark fruit and cola followed by a decent sized bitter and burnt alcoholic finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with soft carbonation (almost watery).
Overall, an interesting beer. I'd like to try it a few more times to see if I really liked it or not. Right now it's a bit hot. It has interesting parts but the sum is a bit lacking. -

It pours out a beautiful sable, almost opaque, with a nice thick tan head. Aroma is rich and "stouty," smoky with a hint of miso and coffee. Flavor is sublime - rich and lip-smacking, strong coffee undertone, some hop bitterness and also some molasses-like sweetness, and the two marry well. Mazel Tov! (If I may say so, being a gentile!)
