Plank IV is a garnet hued, Belgian style quad aged in planks of retified poplar, retified cherry, Jamican allspice, and Cuban cedar. Notes of plum, raisin and dates abound, combined with a mysterious, woody complexity.

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 9
Pours translucent sepia with a decent tan head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma delivers molasses, sweet dark fruit, roast malt and spice notes, making one go Pavlov. Bold flavor stampedes molasses, roast malt, slightly charred wood, cherry and other dark fruit, more than a hint of woody hops whose bitterness nicely offsets the sweetness. Mouthfeel features firm, viscous body and jazzy fizz. Plank on!
