Our brand new citrus IPA is exploding with bright citrus aroma and flavor. Creating an exciting new variation on our flagship Loose Cannon, TropiCannon clocks in at the same 7.25%ABV as its cousin, but packs a full blast of blood orange, grapefruit, mango and lemon flavor. We’ve downplayed some of Loose Cannon’s piney-ness and amped up the citrus by swapping Centennial and Palisade hops for Amarillo and even more Simcoe. We’ve introduced dried grapefruit, orange and lemon peel in the brewing process and added mango, blood orange and more grapefruit post-fermentation.

Oh my !! Tang smell with that beautiful sweet fake orange smell. Slightly unfiltered, golden-amber colour with a frothy-creamy warm light-beige head, decent stay, leaving some nice creamy lacing. The taste is more on the real side with citrus zest and juice as a base. It is more on the bitter side, cutting that sweetness with a very dry end. So yeah. It smells great - for those memories of candy orange artificial aromas, but the rest is pretty solid as a stronger citrusy IPA.

Pours clear orange-amber with a frothy pale buff head. Citrus aroma, mainly fresh orange, with a hint of Orange Crush, reaches the nostrils from 40-50 cm away, drawing the drinker in to experience resiny hop and malty tones, as well as grapefruit and a touch of lemon. Flavor delivers a fruity punch that is both sweet and sour, and includes orange, grapefruit, lemon and mango notes; and rides resiny hops and fresh malt. Body and fizz are nothing to write home about, but finish has definite citrus character. More beer bang for the buck!
