Phantom Ship is an exciting Belgian-style tripel aged in bourbon barrels. Goldenrod in color with a dense head and creamy mouthfeel, this robust, bold brew presents phenolic flavors of white pepper and peach skin from the warm fermentation, along with vanilla and subtle spiciness from the bourbon-barrel aging.

Pours clear, appetizing amber with a thick and fairly persistent frothy buff head. Strongly fruity aroma has notes of bourbon, yeast, and lightly toasted malt. Fruity component is largely banana with hints of pear and mango. Pleasing flavor has banana, mango, pear, yeast, and subtle bourbon, woody and malty tones plus a snip of butterscotch. Texture is viscous and smooth, if not too fizzy. Ride, brewer ride, upon this phantom ship!
