Our new porter-ish 'Blackhook Redux' is on tap at the Hart and Thistle folks! Brewed in the tradition of a Baltic Porter with a very cool fermentation it is far from the norm for the style. Surprisingly we've thrown a few twists into the formulation on this beer - we added a healthy dose of German Rauch (smoked) malt then hammered the dried figs, Sultana raisins and molasses to it lending Port-like qualities to the brew - this is no ordinary Baltic Porter. Gravity - 17.3P/1.071 IBU's - 40 Hop Rate - 0.2 lbs/bbl ABV - 7.2 % Colour - 30 SRM Malts - Pale Ale, 2-row, Melanoidan, Crystal 160, Rauch Malz, Black Patent, Chocolate, White Wheat Adjuncts - Dried Figs, Sultana Raisins, Molasses Hops - Magnum
