Ken Hermann has taken our exploration of – and adoration for – the IPA style in a completely new direction. With notes of orange peel and coriander, the soft mouthfeel reminiscent of a Belgian wit, and the hop additions of Simcoe, Citra, and Cascade, he strikes a delicate balance between two disparate styles while showcasing the characteristics of both. It’s a refreshing take on a new style, and we hope you enjoy it! Cheers. Description Ken Hermann’s take on the White IPA style blends the spiciness of a Belgian Wit and the American hop character of an IPA.

Well...if this was part of the 100 barrel series, I am glad that I found it in a 12 oz. bottle. This was only one single on clearance for $1 at ABC liquor, so I grabbed it to sample since there's all these other white IPAs coming out. Not as tropical as the one's here in FL, but I liked this a lot. Has that New England/ English IPA flavor and feel. Not super hoppy, but balanced quite nice. This is great for a food pairing or just good everyday beer. I'd grab a 6 if I see it around. We get Harpoon down here, but not heavily distributed with all the other competition.

It pours a hazy yellow/orange body with some yeast floaters. The fuzzy white head disappated quickly. Not much lacing was left behind. Light carbonation was seen rising at a decent pace. The smell started with fresh floral hops and had some orange and coriander rounding it out. The taste was centered the orange and coriander with some wheat on the back side. The mouthfeel was about a light to medium body. Overall, a pretty nice beer the flavor wasnt as good as the aroma, but nice none the less.
