This one poured a slightly cloudy brown color with a frothy beige head. It had a slightly malty aroma with a slightly sweet flavor with roasted malt in the background. Had a dry finish.

Mahogany is the best way to describe the colour of this beer. Like the colour of a walnut. touch of spice, otherwise plenty of caramel and nuts. well balanced, medium bodied, with a small head. Nice overall.

Also from the same 8-pack sampler picked up for $6.99, that included Flying Dog Old Scratch, Lagunitas IPA, Victory Prima Pils, Founders Dirty Bastard and others.... money well spent! Huge foamy head topped a mahogany colored pour, but faded quickly and left little lacing. Aroma is malt and yeast, with a strong alcohol presence and a near whisky-like note. Tingly, well carbonated mouthfeel, but flavor disappoints, as it's a tad thin, without a real strong character to speak of. Not a bad beer, but not really remarkable.

A rich mahogany color with an effervescent tan head and little nose. Medium bodied; mild lightly-sweet and faintly-nutty malt flavor, well balanced with light hops. A little bland; nothing assertive here at all.

Medium brown color. Large foamy white head. Aroma is nutty, malty and sweet. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are grapefruity. Nicely balanced. A touch hoppy for a brown ale, but it gets maltyier and less hoppy as it warmed. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter
