Aroma is malty with an apple overtone rather like a cider. It pours a clear amber-brown with a very thick, fine-bubbled, persistent ivory head that leaves some good lacing. Flavor has earthy, apple, malty and woody tones and just a whisper of sweetness - as well as an occasional nip from the alcohol. Smooth texture is a bit syrupy and has a fair amount of tingle. Overall, not too (sh)abby.

Very hazy brown colour, small head. Aroma of fruit and yeast along with some malts. Flavour is yeasty, alcoholic and fruity. Alcohol is well hidden, but is part of a long and warming "aftertaste".

Muddy brown, no head with lot’s of yeast floaties. Sweet and yeasty flavour of caramel, cherries, all-spice, pears, almond and alcohol. Full and sweet flavour of burnt sugar, yeast, alcohol and candied oranges. Quite chewy bit a bit slippery mouthfeel. Warming and yeasty aftertaste of oranges and burnt sugar. Quite good but I believe it was served a bit young.
