Dark ruby red, clear with small off-white foam ring. Maybe bit too cold. Aroma is caramel, so is taste. Not too sweet, nice beer. Aftertaste is quite long lating, turning bit more bitter in time. (Velp 201308)

700 ml bottle, at Murphy’s 8541 Irish pub, Skødstrup. ABV is 8.1%. Very dark ruby colour, moderate to low head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of dark malts, caramel and Saaz hops. The flavour has notes of caramel without being sweet, the Saaz hops are moderate but noticeable.

Bottle. Poured a clear ruby brown colored beer with a two fingers beige creamy foamy head that had a mid-sized retention. Lazy carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, dark ripe fruits, raisins, plums, spicy, licorice, notes of honey. The flavour is grainy toasted caramel malts, ripe dark fruits, raisins, vegetables, cooked mushrooms (!), nuts. The balance maltiness / bitterness is perfect. The mouthfeel is crispy and very smooth, may be too sweety. This full bodied beer has a lingering ripe fruits finish. A magnificent Festbrew, I really enjoy it !
