Tart Saison with Apricot and Lemon Day Star doesn't care if you're tired or had a late night. It's there at the crack of dawn, its golden glow conjuring images of fresh apricots and lemons while shining with the brightness of a thousand suns (actually just one and not a very big one by astronomical standards). In fact, it's so brilliant that many base their entire calendar year around it, or perhaps just evenings and weekends. Malts: Bohemian Pilsner, Pale Wheat, Munich II, Toasted Flaked Wheat Hops: Magnum, Motueka, Amarillo, Wai-iti Yeast: French Saison Adjuncts: Apricot Juice, Dried Lemon Peel

500ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a huge foamy white head and has a hazy yellowish golden appearance. Bubbly soapy lacing. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas are grassy and floral, some lemony and citrusy notes as well. A bit wheaty too. Flavours are citrusy, lemon, some of the apricot is noticeable, stone fruit, brett yeast, some very mild spice hints. Dry and tarty mouthfeel.
