Trailside wheat was voted the second best wheat beer in the nation by USBTC in 2007! This traditional-styled Hefeweissen is brewed with a 50/50 mix of barley and wheat malt and fermented with the traditional Bavarian yeast. The nose and flavors brought out by the yeast resemble banana, sweet apple and pear. The body is light, crisp and slightly sweet finishing clean.

Gold, hazy colored beer. A somewhat smoky nose to an otherwise normal smelling wheat, a nice aspect. Flavor is banana and yeast but overall still more regular beer flavor than wheat beer flavor.

Had this poured directly from Grumpy Troll brewery in Mt. Horeb, WI into a to go growler. Pours a nice cloudy orange with a nice white head. Smell of bananas right away. Flavor is citrus, bananas, wheat. Nicely done.

Pours a slisghtly cloudy, dull orange-golden colour with a creamy finger sized white head. Aroma is soft of bananna and apples. Creamy, wheaty and soft citrus character throughout.
