500ml can
4.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
April 27, 2010
First of all, I almost picked up one of these 2 years ago, and at that time the ABV was 4.6%. Tis can looks exactly the same as the one from 2 years ago, except the ABV is now only 4%. The beer poured a translucent pale yellow-gold with a huge generous white bubbly head. The aromatic features were grassy malt, wet steel, and a tad hint of hops. The mouthfeel was weak bodied, almost watery, and highly carbonated. The flavour was weak grainy malt and water. -

A brewer that has not impressed me. This beer doesn't change that. A pale golden ale that has a strong grassy aroma and a acid metallic taste. Not a beer I would try again, or recommend.

I must admit, I was rather surprised by the nice floral aroma of this brew. Other than that, this beer is merely average, which is probably just what one should expect. One of only a handful of thousands of beers out there that really bares no difference out of the glass or the can. It's bland, typical Euro trash swill. This is only the 2nd ever Grolsch product I have ever had and I have yet to be impressed.

Can: Poured a deep golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with great retention and surprisingly some great lacing. Aroma of light sweet malt is quite bland. Taste is also very bland and boring with some limited malt presence discernable. Refreshing with no distinguishable adjunct or any other defect but too bland to be truly inetersting.

This one poured a nice golden color with a weak head. It had a bland grassy aroma with a bland flavor with not too much to offer. It was basically swill.

$2 clear bottle from Kazansky’s. Slight clean alky sterile aroma. No head. Very light color and appearance, almost like the ubiquitous pale yellow american beer but much lighter. No bubble present in the glass. Taste is crisp and rather haylike but not like a wheat beer, more transparent. Tho no carbonation is visibly present in the brew, it has a good tingle on the tongue, enjoyable and champagne like. Cannot detect much obtrusive bitterness in this if any. Enjoyable and easy to take. Would make a decent session brew. Overall, a friendly well mannered brew with no offensive overtones during the finish. However, does apparently leave a very slight processed metallic taste on the finish.

An OK amber ale, good for parties and sports events. Color is yellowish rather than amber so it looks more like a citrus soft drink than beer. However, it has a beery smell and a jazzy flavor that is not complex but still tasty. This smooth ale is good for parties and picnics, if all you need is something easy and drinkable.

This is one of my favorite summer beers. It goes down smooth especially sitting on a deck at the end of a hot day. I just wish I could get this beer more often. My local store only has a very limited supply for just a few months a year.

Light orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty, grassy and grainy. A light bodied blonde/golden ale. Malts are fruity and citrusy (think sweet lemonade). It is light and refreshing and there isn’t really anything objectionable tasting in it, but why not just drink lemonade? Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a nice lemony tang.

The bottle and golden colour makes this beer look beautiful! Good taste with a good amount of the bitters, This beer doesn't really bring anything new to the party, i liked it, but to be honest, the original was a little better.
