A dark red-amber brew. Smooth, full-bodied, with a subtle finish. This ale is served cold and carbonated; a true Mild sure to please any Anglophile! We share this recipe with the Golden Lion Brewpub in Lennoxville, Quebec. Available in 12 oz bottles.

Acquired via trade with Chopz! Pours an average size foamy brownish head and has a dark amber appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas of toffee and sweet malts. Flavours are a weird mix of caramel and rusty, metallic notes. It's a bit off putting. Has quite an astringent and bitter mouthfeel, not the good kind though. Also pretty oily. Very disappointing.

Part of their mixed pack on my trip to Maine. Pours a real deep amber colour, almost copper, with a very warm cap, average retention and lace. Aromas of butter and butterscotch with hints of nuts. Milder tasting with diacetyl notes. Hints of wood, but nothing to save this one. Would not have again.

A real diacetyl bomb. Pours dark reddish brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet butter and toffee. Mouthfeel is slick and oily, almost disgustingly so. Flavor starts with sweet caramel and toffee, then turns rancid and buttery, finishing off with a very mild earthy bitterness, amidst all that diacetyl. Put simply: Gross. I fear the remainder of the six pack is doomed for the drain.
