Black in color, with a medium body. This stout has both oat malt and flaked oats in addition to chocolate and black malts for a distinctive full coffee-like flavor. Served on nitrogen gas for added creamy texture!

On tap @ Suttree's in Knoxville. Near black pour, moderate head, nice lacing. Rich roasted malt aroma, nearly burnt, light coffee and hint of dark chocolates, burnt oatmeal, very light molasses, earthy hops. Taste mimics the aroma: deep roasted flavor yet still smooth, slight java and molasses, nice mouthfeel. A very toasted stout that is Oh so easy to drink. Will seek more! Glad to have Green Man brews in Knoxville finally.

I had a pint of the Oatmeal Stout at Jack of the wood just yesterday. I was really Impressed. It feels almost like a milkstout in your mouth, but the taste is much sharper. Yets, when on tap, there is no real aftertaste. It goes down smooth without much of a bitterness at all. It is thick and rich and quite satisfying. I highly recomend this local Asheville brew to anyone visiting the area. i am not sure about the bottled form though, i imagine it wouldnt quite match up.
