Rich pale malt flavors provide a solid base for zesty Styrian Golding and Czech Saaz hopping. Trappist ale yeast contributes the fruity, spicy profile of classic, monk-brewed, Belgian ales. Our Trippel is luscious, fiery, golden brew and a contemporary rendition of traditional Belgian Trippel. Fruity aroma has a strong yeasty, slightly rubbery overtone and a hint of cinnamon. Pours a nice clear golden yellow with a thick and rather persistent ivory head. Flavor has mainly fruity and yeasty notes and - whoa! - a fairly strong alcohol nip. Finish has a hint of resin to it. Texture has OK body and a fair amount of fizz and life. Tasty and satisfying - keep an eye peeled for it.

Starting to appreciate GF as a dependable brewer of good beer. Apple, pepper, yeast playing in the aroma. Spicy, balanced, triple-like flavor. Amazingly smooth, medium body. I'm not into triples lately, but I will definitely pick this up again.

A bright golden colored beer with a bif frothy textured, white head rising above. It settles fairly quickly leaving light dusting of film and a moderate ringlet. Spice, yeast nose. Add to that some grassiness in the tasting. Moderate and smooth.

Solid tripel, and reasonably priced (as all GF brews) at that. Fruit and spice at the forefront, a touch of alcohol, and a smooth dry spicy finish. Not too shabby...

Thanks, Stout! Very nice belgian with all the requisite qualities that one would expect in a quality beer of the type. The flavor was the standout in my opinion - robust, but tempered to a nice balance - fruit (banana-apricot), light spice and teast. Damn near perfect flavor.

This triple pours an orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty and sweet, some banana and spices. A medium bodied Belgian ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Peaches, apricots and pineapples. Kind of sweet and a little yeasty. Smooth taste. Lively carbonation. Fairly smooth, with a noticeable alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

I'm always skeptical when I hear about non-trappist brewers crteating styles that are closely associated with the Belgian trappist monks. The Abbey Tripel style among them. Pours a nice golden colour with a spicy and yeasty aroma. Some citrus tones abound. The flavour has some bite to it and is malty up front, spicy in the middle, and a hoppy finish. The high ABV (8.5%) is nicely hidden

Light golden pour, thin head, maybe a lace or two. Aroma was slightly haylike. The flavor was an apple/banana malt base with a mild hoppiness and some zing from the hops. Not overly sweet and more dry on the tongue. No problems or flaws and pretty drinkable, but not going to knock any socks off either.
