light is what they went for here, and while it negatively effects the complexity i've come to expect from the style, it did acheive what it set out to do...be a nice light summer ale. light fruits, a little sharp dryness, and grains of paradise in the finish. nothing pops, but nothing is bad either.

Sampled on 2/5/2011. This saison pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to small sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet, some orange and apricot, spicy and citrusy. A medium to light bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet, with some apricot and peaches. Nice spicing. The hops are spicy and floral. Lively carbonation, with lot of little bubbles. Light and refreshing saison, more on the fruity side than the spicy side. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours with a golden body topped by a white, quickly disappearing head with little lacing. It’s slightly sweet and spicy with lots of clove notes and a grassy hop note. Light to medium bodied and slightly dry.
