If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.

There were 6 of us sampling a bottle. The floral nose was a joy. But the complexity of the taste was even better. None of us could put our finger on the dominate flavors. But we all agreed that this brew was very enjoyable. In fact we were all just a little googly about it.It's a real treat for the palet. I picked up a 4 pack.

Cool Green Flash custom 12oz bottle pours out brilliantly clear copper with tall near frothy tan head. The aroma is a little rubbery mixed with spicy Belgian yeastiness as well as a mild wild yeasty tartness. The taste is a little tart, a little sour, a little rubbery band aid and a little bit of other stuff. The other stuff is like floral hops, bigger floral hop notes to midway and a good deal of earthy hops around the edges. Interest brew from one of my favorite breweries.

12oz bottle thanks to thirdeye11
Appearance: Slightly hazy golden with a big frothy off-white head and lots of sticky lacing. Yeast cake left in the bottom of the bottle
Aroma: Barnyard, brett, spices and citrus
Taste: Light caramel malts, brett, citrus, grassy with a dry finish
Wow, this is great! Not what I expected. Nice and smooth, easy drinking. -

Bottle at home, No best before date stamp, why did the red lights not flash and did I still buy it... I got this 50% cheaper(still 3 Euro), the beer had a very high carbonation, aroma was bitter, maybe a bit citrus. Taste was nothing like people describe the beer. I don’t know maybe I have a very old bottle... and i shouldn’t have bought it, but i give it just average score to add it to my ’’have had’’ list.

35,5cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours amber with a huge off-white head. Yeasty aroma, very Belgian with spices, hops, fruit and malt. Sweet and fruity with a quite dry and medium bitter finish. Nicely hopped. Pleasant Belgian ale. (2012-09-15)

Large rocky white head, lasting, goodly amount of clingy, droopy lace. Clear copper till i swirled the last few ounces of the bottle and dumped it in. Spicey nose, citrus, lil clove and bubblegum. Body is light and a hint oily, low carbonation. Light bready malts, dry and spicey hops, floral notes. Wheres this brett they speak of ?? I,m not gettin it. Dry, fruity finish, lil grassy, spicey. Not gettin too funky, damn. Age the other bottles and see what happens. From statelineliquors.

I don't think I've ever poured a beer with such a big thick white head. After it settled down and I could taste it.i thought it tasted a little funky from all the citrus. If there is such a thing as Dry beer this is it.

Something wrong with my bottle too. It poured ALL head in two different glasses. Once all the carbonation is forced out the beer looses it's dimensions. Glimpses of what the beer is supposed to be comes through and I'm anxious to try it again and revise me review.

The nose on this thing is immense, alive and bold right outta the glass. It reminded me of hennepin but fresher and fruitier. That is where the comparison stops though, a strong Belgian with decent bitterness and dry finish, not a bad offering but no hennepin.

Bottle. A billowing off white head tops a very pretty deep brass orange colored brew. There is a nice leathery nose with some typical brett funk. It is not fishy, but reminds me of the smell of fresh oysters, like the ocean. There is also some nice citrus behind the sea smells. This taste like a funky light leathery orange rind. There is some note of dandelions in the aftertaste. Highly carbonate,d but otherwise, very smooth. Another solid winner from Green Flash.

Fruity aroma has a yeasty overtone and a malty underpinning. Pours a pretty clear amber with a very thick and fluffy eggshell head. Sharp flavor is fruity and a little sour, with malty and yeasty undertones and a hint of woody hops. Smooth, firm texture has a subtle but persistent tingle and leaves a fruity, slightly hoppy finish. Overall, decent.
