Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops throughout the boil adds pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex. Aroma is of coffee and toasted malts. The flavor was good with strong toasted malts and coffee leading the front and a slightly bitter finish . A nice head lasts almost to bottom of the glass.

My local liquor store had this on clearance for $4.99/4 pack. Drink before 1/9/2016. Seems legit and certainly worth a try. Pour an opaque dark brown color with a small tan head. Leaves some nice spidery lacing. Roasted malt, chocolate with a hint of coffee on the nose. Roasted malt leads the flavors with chocolate, coffee and earthy hops rounding out the taste. Mouthfeel is full, but not as thick as many other Imperial Stouts that I have tasted. Alcohol is well hidden. Good stuff and a steal for the price.

Pure black stout that I drank out of the bottle, all four of them. Just a very slight note of bitterness. Made me a Green Flash fan. I will buy more of these plus try some of their other brews.

Pours pitch black with a sub one finger head that lofts for a bit. Aroma is of caramel, cinnamon, rotten fruit, and dark roasted malts. Taste has a huge hit of metal with hints of lactose, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, and dark malts. Mouthfeel is a tad on the watered side and is a bit awkward to drink. Metallic taste lingers a bit but is subdued. Aftertaste is kinda chewy. Odd beer but good.

Outstanding stout. Great mix of roasted barley and hops. Super smooth feel in a nice full bodied beer. Had this for breakfast and it was a great replacement for coffee! Nice and bitter, served at about 50 degrees, just very well made.

Wonderful rich flavour of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee and a bit of a hop finish. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Aroma and appearance was a bit of a let down but I have had this bottle for a while. Have to try again.

First introduction to Green Flash, and now a fan. Reminded me of the newer Guinness Foreign Stout, but a cleaner/better quality representation. Black appearance with a dark mocha head. Creamy texture. Rich chocolate flavor with near-perfect hop balance. Barely notice the 8.8% ABV. I want to try their Red Ale first, but I am sure I'll be getting this again.

A dark ebony colored beer with a huge foamy textured brown head. Good rentention on the head. Settles eventually into thick clouds of film aside the glass snd big ringlet. Roasted malt, chocolate nips in the nose. Add to that bitter coffee and a floral lightness. Light0-medium bodied. Creamy.

Comes out of the tap a rich sable just a shade or two above pitch black with a thick, fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma has tones of roast coffee and unsweet chocolate, as well as a woody hint. Flavor has coffee, woody and chocolate notes, not quite as good as the aroma but still toothsome. Texture is firm and smooth, a little dusty, fairly fizzy.

Bottle from stoutlover: Black pour with a tight bubbled tan head which remains throughout leaving copious amounts of lacing. Rich chocolate aroma, roasted malts, hint of coffee and molasses, earthy and slight floral hops. Flavor follows the aroma with a rich creamy cocoa and roasted maltiness, some molasses and ample hops to offset and bitter. Very nice - thank you Garrett!
