Taps opaque coffee with a nice fine-bubbled tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma offers roast quality coffee, roast malt, oatmeal, molasses and subtle chocolate tones. Flavor delivers coffee, roast malt, oatmeal, molasses and chocolate notes for one fantastic Oatmeal Stout. I am a sucker for this style! Mouthfeel features firm, viscous body and peppy fizz. Three cheers for Ohio City - and may the Indians win the World Series within a few years.

On tap at Legends 1850, I didn't even know GL had an oatmeal stout. This is a great all around beer, nice full and chewy body with a full on flavor, a bit too fizzy. Not bad but I measure every oatmeal against Roadslush and this is no Roadslush.

This beer is only avaliable on tap at the Great Lakes Brewery. The pour yielded a small almond colored head. The foam receded quickly, leaving very little lace behind. The body is dark brown edging on black. The aroma has coffee beans and roasted malts up front. You can pick up a bitter, chocolate character in the background. The flavors follow right in line with the aroma. It starts off with cream and weak coffee, with the roasted malts kicking in toward the center and finish out the drink. The mouth feel is medium and creamy, but still a little watery. Mild carbonation. Also must point out that Stout beer is my least favorite style of beer.

A stout that drinks much bigger than it's abv implies, I enjoyed an imperial pint at the brewpub on a sunny winter afternoon. Roasted malt aroma coupled with mild chocolate. Jet black pour with a huge, creamy head and very nice lacing. Filling and hearty, the body is malty, sweet and creamy. Lots of chocolate and burnt malt flavors with a big nuttiness and very mild hop presence. Close to Young's Double Chocolate Stout all around, a great pub only offering.

This is good and black with a nice creamy tan head that leads me to believe that this is probably nitro dispensed. There’s a good roasty aroma. There’s a bit of cocoa in the flavor along with the roast. The body is just a tad too thin for my preferences.
