The crack of the can releases lovely aromas as you pour this deep golden unfiltered tart wheat ale into your GLB glass. Notes of citrus (orange and grapefruit) rise to the surface followed by traces of dandelion, a hint of toasted straw and cracker. You get a hint of the sour-blend with every swirl of the glass. The Amarillo hop provides a wonderful orange and zested lime component alongside some floral characteristics. Bright and light. The fine touch of the brewers' sour-blend makes TANGO a well-rounded, zesty/tangy, thirst quenching, sessionable, tart wheat ale. The finish is nice and dry leading to frequent imbibing.

Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy white head that dissipates to a smaller foamy coating and has a slightly hazy orangey coloured appearance. Some decent dirty lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of tangy citrus notes, tangerines and oranges, some hints tropical fruits but more subtle. Flavours are mostly citrusy and tropical fruits, some tangerines, orange peel, but maybe a bit more stone fruit in the finish. A little tangy on the palate. Mild bitterness as well.

The beer pours a hazed golden colour with a very weak white head which doesn’t stick around. The aroma is wet grass, light citrus, and yeast. The mouthfeel is light bodied, almost watery, and the carbonation is average. The flavour is tart citrus notes, some light wheat notes, and a weakly bitter finish. A huge disappointment from Great Lakes Brewery.

Hazy light-golden, bright yellow colour with a bubbly-foamy head, average stay and some decent lacing spots. Aromas of oranges with hints of grapefruits and sour tart. The taste is fairly mild with the oranges and a tad sourness. Really watery overall. I am a little surprise as most Berliner Weiss has less alcohol, but flavours are a little more in your face.
