Nice display of sour apple tartness & more traditional hefe like qualities. The fruity, sweet and sour aroma is brought together by a subtle but ever present smokiness, that comes through a little in the flavor as well. If the beer has a fault, it may be a little too yeasty and full for the style, but damn it's complex and tastes great.

Bottled (from bierkompass.de). Hazy pale copper colour with mediumsized off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is some caramel, sour wood, mild herbal and spicy notes as well as mild berries. Flavour is sour wood, some mild wheat, herbs, spices and mild red sourish berries. Feels a bit raw still, but this one has probably got some aging potential as well. Rather dry acidic wooden finish and aftertaste. Berliner Weisse meets sour ale.
