LASSO is the new frontier of India Pale Ale. Brewed with a robust roundup of Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops, its sessionable simplicity proves bigger isn’t always better. But make no mistake – the Wild West hasn’t gone mild. That same untamed IPA spirit thrives, and we reckon this’ll go down mighty fine.

Sampled from bottle. Pours hazy copper-gold with an adequate head. Large clumps of trub floating around. Finally settled but its damn ugly. Pleasant hard candy, citrus, floral aroma. Medium-bodied, moderately carbonated. Only slightly bitterness perceived up front as there's lots of maltiness in the middle. The bitterness does come on the back end. very bready with plenty of C-hops and some fruit. I'd drink it again if it was on tap at my local, but not one to seek out.

I like session ipa's and the idea of them but this is not it. Grass and pine in the aroma and flavour. Mouthfeel ok for the style. Not one of my fav's from Great Divide.

Another in the "Pick Your Own 6-Pack Sampler" from the local superstore. Pours a pale amber color with a small white head that quickly disappears. Aromas of sweet malts, biscuits, a little citrus and some muted hops. Sweet malt upfront, a bit of citrus and some drying hops on the finish. Light to medium mouthfeel with a bit too much carbonation for me. Not a bad beer, but not my style of IPA. Probably would make a good session beer, just not for me.

A nice clear golden color with an inch of long lasting white cap in my glass. Good aromas, plenty of centennial woodiness and bitterness, but enough citrusy hops to keep it a little lighter than the harder hitters. great flavor, and a clean finish for the style. Its got quite a bit of body and as such drinks a little heavier than the session ipa its billed to be. Overall not bad.

Meh. This ain't overly fresh coming up on 4 months old (but still on the shelf) but its a little lacking in hops, especially the nose. Nice enough just not what I prefer in an ipa. You have to work for a lightly grassy malty nose and the flavor is more akin with an apa. Crisp feel.

This one pours a copper color with a big frothy textured, off white head rising above. There is some hang time on the head. A thick, impressive film and ringlet are left. A hopped nose. The floral-citric hops are muted by a biscuit-caramel malt. Medium bodied, crisp.

Pours a nice clear amber with a decent pale buff head. Aroma is weak but hoppy. Flavor, fortunately, is bolder than the aroma, fairly hoppy with a subtle citrus undertone. Texture is quite fizzy, about average in firmness. Not outstanding, but go ahead and lasso one.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper amber with a medium frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet bready malts, some fruit and grassy hops.
The flavor is sweet bready caramel malts with a lot of grassy hop bitterness and a little fruit. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.
Overall, an ok IPA. Don't care for the flavors - bready caramel malts with lots of grassy hops.
