"...Was brewed to showcase yeast in the flavor of beer, and was brewed in strict adherence to the Reinheitsgebot. "Weizenbock means strong wheat beer. Wheat contributes a pleasant citric acidity and delicacy on the palate, and its surfet of protein creates a massive head. Howling Wolf was crafted with 40% wheat malt and minimally spiced with Liberty Hops. Like all Bavarian wheat beers, yeast is the star of this show."

had an older 25 ouncer of the weizenbock next to a 12 ouncer of the hefe of the same name (and nearly same label). this is a nice example of a very pleasing style, if a little overpriced. good interplay of yeast (babana, clove, spices), malt, and a touch of hops. good body too, w/a dry finish.

The aroma contains some bananas, caramel, cloves, and bready notes. The flavor contains some grapes, caramel, wheat, lemons, bananas and a hint of booze. The finish is on the sour side. I thought this was a nice beer!

A big bottle with a swing top. Obviously they don't expect you to drink it in one sitting. They don't know me very well. The beer's cloudy, golen red, bubbly whitish head. The aroma is cereal malts, some weak fruits, and wheat. The flavour was malty with hints of peach/apricots/pears and a nice bitter finish in the end. Decent.

Pretty nice brew on tap at the Alchemy. Man I love those weizenbocks, and the brews from GTeton was pretty sweet yessa! Pours a bright clear copper colour with virtually no head. Pretty thin. Aroma is malty but sweet, with alcohol noticeable on the nose. Really smooth mouthfeel. Creamy, fruity and ripe with generous apple, and fruity with smooth candy like flavours. really beautiful brew!

Sampled on 10/23/2009. This weizenbock pours a medium brown copper color from a 1-liter swingtop bottle. Medium sized tannish colored head. The aroma is brown sugar, banana and clove, fairly sweet. A medium bodied weizenbock. The malts are fruity and sweet, lots of brown sugar, banana and clove flavors. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. A nice, if somewhat sweet, weizenbock. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
