This isn't nearly as distinguished as their ESB. Even for a Blonde ale this was quite bland. Crystal clear yellow with a short-lived fizzy head. Doesn't taste like much; doesn't taste like much. Soft on the palate and easy to drink.

a light beer that distinguishes itself, just a little, from the pack. a delecate malty sweetness and hop aroma is there, as well as a slightly sweet, slightly citrus flavor. not bad, nothing special.

Sampled on 4/22/2009. This blond ale pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head with decent retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, cereal and grain. A medium bodied blonde ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are slightly herbal and a touch floral. Nice balance. Decent carbonation. Nice blonde/golden ale, you don’t expect much complexity for a beer like this, but the flavors that are there are all nicely done. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

It pours a burnt-orange with thin white head and some lace. Aroma of "real" barley, citrus, light hops, mild spice, and some grassiness. The mouthfeel is smooth, rich, and full-bodied. Flavors of fresh malts, light hops, citrus, wildberries, and some pepper and spice. Good.

Bottle: Poured a lightly cloudy medium yellow color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and no lacing. Aroma of medium sweet malt with light floral notes. Taste is not the most complex with some light sweet malt and limited hops presence. Easily drinkable but not necessarily enjoyable enough to come back to it very often.

From Belmont Station in Portland, OR. Things looked promising from the outset, however this beer flattered only to deceive. Pouring a light yellow/gold body that was VERY cloudy, it was capped with a foamy white head, perhaps a finger's thickness; this head did linger on for quite some time. The aroma almost wasn't, perhaps some hint of sweetness wafted upwards but it nothing I could pin down. Taste, well, it was somewhat bitter and trended towards almost sour; the finish was likewise sour. Mouthfeel was thin, nearly watery. An underwhelming and unimpressive beer.
