Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 10
50cL bottle pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting reduced sugar goodness followed by dates, brown sugar stewed plums and a dash of spicy yeastiness. The taste delivers on what the nose has set the plate for. I get pleasing slick sweet malts, molasses, a touch of caramel and then quickly growing sweet dark fruity esters. To midway I get murmurs of dates and plums struggling to be heard of the slick reduced sugars. Into the finish some mild spicy Belgian yeastiness conspire with the booze and carbonation to keep this Quad somewhat agile. Super sipper. I may need more of this.
