We brewed this beer in August 2007 with a lot of dark malts and molasses, fermenting it with lager yeast for over 3 months. While we were waiting we took a bourbon barrel aside and filled it with the beer straight from the fermenter. We put the barrel in a dark corner and left it until now. 200 75cl bottles produced.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is sweet riped fruits, some roasted malts, alcohol and mild notes of vanilla. Flavour is sweey riped dark fruits, raisins, roasted malts. A nice balance but a bit too sweet. Might mellow up a bit if aged.
