Bottle. Poured a amber brown with reddish tones colored beer with a great beige foamy head that had a short retention. No lacing. Rich carbonation. The aroma is sweet malts with slight smoked smell, dark fruits, dark raisins, plums. The flavour is sweet malts, ripe raisins, molasses, caramel, notes of porto wine. The finish of this medium to full bodied beer is sweety fruits then appears a warming effect. Tt's not typically the bock I usually drink butnevertheless an interesting experience

Bottled. Ambery orange colour with mediumsized creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, alcohol as well as some mild fruityness. Flavour is mainly sweet malts with alcohol lurking in the background. Gives a nice warming feeling while you drink it.

courtesy of Papsoe; labeled Matador Ol - hazy ruby-brown colour with a big beige head; aroma of butter, caramel and red fruits; solid sweetness and decently malty; long sweetish caramish aftertaste - too much on the sweet side to be great

Draught at The Jolly Butcher, Frederikshavn. Deep amber colour, hazy, moderate off-white head. Caramel and barnyard aroma. Soft malty flavour, some caramel. Moderately warming mouthfeel. Decent.

Clear amber with brown hints, rich white head. Solid malty aroma of cookies, roasted grains, dark bread, toffee and caramel. Malty sweet flavour of toffee and cookies, hints of brown sugar and soft gingerbread. Malty sweet aftertaste as well with grassy undertones.
