Comes out of the growler a clear, wan yellow with a thick but not persistent fluffy white head. Not impressive - but cut it some slack, this is not a stout after all. Malty aroma has a definite fruity overtone, grape with a hint of grapefruit. Fruity notes, especially the grapefruit, come out even more in the flavor, which has some good but not overdone fruity sweetness. Texture is smooth and firm, if not fizzy. Overall, rather nice. Definitely a sipping beer, good for chillaxing on a hot summer day.
