A testament to the power of malt. With a base of Canadian barley malt for bready crispness, the rich roasty-toasty aromas are the result of premium British chocolate and black malts. Hopped lightly to let the malts take centre stage.

Part of the Gahan Fathers Commemorative 4-Pack at the LCBO. Pours a clean light copper colour with amber. Nice creamy-froth beige head, good retention and creamy lacing. Mild roasted malt nose with some fruitiness, caramel and nuts. The taste has this, but is covered with grassy hops. Light smokiness from the burnt malts lingers. Not a bad brown ale.
