This beer doesn’t hold back. We start with as much Canadian barley as we can fit in our mash mixer, then add some toasty Munich malt and toffee-flavoured crystal malt for a rich, malty balance to the hop onslaught that follows. We cram our kettle with Centennial and Cascade hop varieties for refreshing clean bitterness and hop flavour, then dry hop in the fermenter for an aroma that will spank you right in the face. Party like its 1772!

500ml bottle from Zyn (Inglewood). Crazy explosive foamy-over when poured. Boo! Body was a cloudy orange, and when the over-abundant head subsided, it was a creamy ivory. Aroma of citrus and hop, a bit of malt. So-so mouth, sadly. Decent enough flavour, lemony finish.

Murky, dirty copper colour pour. Huge rocky head that lasts and leaves globs of lacing. Earthy aroma. Earthy, pine and orange peel flavour. Long lasting bitterness. Breaded malt helps the balance. Medium body and slightly oily. Not too fancy but drinkable.
