330 ml bottle, as Gageleer Original, brewed for Biosano by Proefbrouwerij Lochristi. Bought at Bio Station Store, Antwerpen Centraal. ABV is 7.5%. Slightly hazy golden colour, huge white head. Aroma of Belgian ale yeast, white kandij sugar syrup, stewed fruits and bog myrtle / sweet gale. Flavour of surprisingly distinct bittering hops, bog myrtle, medium sweet malts and sugar.

A distinctly herbal, floral and slightly sweet aroma and flavor. Slightly bitter finish on this. Belgian blonde/ triple base, abv doesn't show at all. Pretty good. Refreshing, complex, unique.

Hazy golden yellow with clear white foam. Very bitter taste, nice, some earth taste. Moore. Gale added, interesting. Bought at shop in Velp which only has 2 beers, funny.

Hazy yellow colour with meadiumsized white creamy head. Aroma is spices, zest, yeast and some slight glueish hints. Flavour is spices, wheat, orange, citrusfruits and some yeast. Also a lot of herbs and spices as it warms up.

Hazy golden with a hint of orange. White "belgo" head. Sweet yet fresh aroma of flowers, honey, malt and candied oranges. Flavour starts sweet from the honey flowers and marmelade before some surprising flavours comes up of bitter almonds and wormwood.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dark yellow beer with a huge head with incredible retention (I never though I’d mentioned that in a review, but the head was so persistent that it was still there 30 minutes after the beer was poured. The aroma is quite herbal and spicy, very different from the usual Belgian ale. Taste was also quite different with the herbal and spicy feeling coming out. I notice when I read the label that the beer does not contains any malt and has been replaced with a plant called ‘’myrica gale’’, which can probably explain the difference in taste and aroma. Different, complex and interesting…
