The beer poured a translucent medium gold with a generous bubbly white head that quickly disappeared. Plenty of effervescence was noticeable. The aroma was malty with a hint of floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was crisp, malty, with a hop finish. Not much different than a German/Czech pilsener in my opinion.

500ml can from LCBO. Pours an insane amount of foamy bubbly white head and has a clear straw coloured appearance. Some thick sticky lacing remains. Aromas of grains and wheats, light grassy hops. Flavours are mostly light toasted malts and a bit of breads as well. Some sweet notes and what seems like a buttery finish. A little bit of corn in there also, but fairly subtle and not overwhelming. Lively carbonation. Average retention.

They say this is the top of the Kolsch. it has good taste like most German beers, fail to taste the speciality about this one. Maybe I should drink this more often. (Karlsruhe 201207)

Pours a hazy, pale yellow color with a small white head and moderate carbonation evident and little lacing. The aroma consists of citrus, lemon, floral hops, spices, Belgian style yeast, and light pepper. The taste is of citrus hops, lemons, spices, Belgian yeast, floral hops, fruity malts, and, pepper. The mouthfeel is Light body and moderate carbonation and very easy to drink.

It is the typical Kolsch... bright clear golden color with carbonation and a fluffy white cap. Grainy, grassy aroma translating into the flavor with a bit of a bitter finish. Refreshing enough, but uninspiring.

A definite grass nose to a very clear yellow beer with foamy white head, almost pilsner-esq and nothing like the American kolsch style. Flavor is very mild and light, easy drinking session beer.

I needed something to quench the thirst on a hot afternoon. This did the trick. A bright yellow sunrise in color. A small frothy textured head rises briefly above and disappears in short order. A very thin ringlet is left behind. The nose and to a larger extent the tasting is sweet malt and then grassy hops. Perhaps some spices as well. A light, effervescent body.

Saw it at the liquor store - and bought it. Clear, gold, medium sized white head that lasts a few minutes. The aroma sweet malt, l;ight fruits, and floral hops. The flavour is quite refreshing, yet quite bland. Grassy malt with a bitter finish.....a tried and true beer flavour combination, but nothing spectacular

500 ml bottle. Poured in the original Gaffel Stange a clear golden orange colored Kölsch with a two fingers white creamy foamy head that had a good retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is sweet bready malts, floral hops, notes of hay. The flavour is grainy sweaty malts, bread, some fruits, faint floral hops. The mouthfeel is crispy and smooth. This light bodied Kölsch has a dry slight bitter finish. A very tasting and refreshing Kölsch.

This German Kölsch pours a clean yellow colour with a big white frothy head, great retention and good lacing. Hoppy nose with some citrus notes and dandelions. Best before date written on the back label is 26.11.10. First sip tasted really grainy, but after that, the hop balances things with also, a touch of honey. Crisp mouthfeel and lightly bodied. Decent Kölsch that is refreshing, until it is kept out a little while, and then becomes a bit boring.
