Funkwerks Nelson Sauvin
Funkwerks Nelson Sauvin
Rated 3.225 by BeerPalsNamed after a distinctive New Zealand hop, this single-hop saison has a subtle aroma of white grapes and a hint of spice from our house saison yeast. An addition of Muscat grape must during the boil plays into the fruit aromas from the hops and contributes to the dry finish. This dry and refreshing saison pairs perfectly with a mustache for Movember!

750 ml bottle, bottled on 11/6/2013. Pours slightly hazy straw gold with a huge fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is tropical fruits and some dry vinous grape with some earthy yeast and perfumey malt.
The flavor is bready malts with tropical fruits, a little spicy funk and some grape. The finish has a decent amount of dry bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.
Overall, a very nice beer. I like tropical fruit from the nelson sauvin hops and what the grape must adds.
